Yesterday we showed you a lengthy video clip of a conversation between Brit frightmeisters Robin Hardy and Richard Stanley from last summer’s Fantasia Film Festival in Montreal, and today we have footage from the fest’s world premiere of THE THEATRE BIZARRE, the shock anthology for which Stanley directed a segment and which begins its limited theatrical release today.

The SURVEILLANCE director will return to serial-killing territory with her next project, A FALL FROM GRACE.

It was previously reported that the much-talked-up Cuban horror/comedy JUAN OF THE DEAD was picked up by Focus Features’ digital arm Focus World for DVD, VOD and other small-screen formats, and now the word has come through on who will be handling its big-screen release in the States.

Of course there's room for a seafaring, obscene-gesturing, clown-painted local kids TV host in the new Rob Zombie movie.

UK filmmaker (and Fango scribe) Ashley Thorpe, who's won acclaim for his UK Gothic aesthetic-laden shorts THE HAIRY HANDS and THE SCREAMING SKULL, has set up his next project, BORLEY RECTORY.

The greatest did a web chat with fans and threw some wild stuff out there.

Don’t be fooled by the trailers; THE GREY is much more than the simple man-vs.-wolf dustup those previews would lead you to believe. It’s also a heavier film than you’d expect from director/co-writer Joe Carnahan, whose last two features, THE A-TEAM and SMOKIN’ ACES, took a smirky approach to action. THE GREY is deadly serious, and seriously good.

At last summer’s Fantasia film festival in Montreal, two directors premiered movies that head into limited theatrical release this weekend: Robin Hardy with THE WICKER TREE, and Richard Stanley as part of the group behind the anthology THE THEATRE BIZARRE. As part of the fest, these two unique talents sat down for a lengthy discussion of the genre, and you can watch a big chunk of it after the jump.

Nicholas McCarthy's haunted house film is the latest Sundance midnighter to find a home.

The official, lengthier clip for the upcoming film steeped in Norwegian folklore.

The found footage anthology will most definitely find its way to theaters.

There's a brand new red band trailer here to sell you all the foul-mouthed wolf action you want from THE GREY.

Can MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE’s Elizabeth Olsen escape the SILENT HOUSE alive? We can’t tell you, but we can take you into the creepy place with her via three exclusive photos, a still and two behind-the-scenes shots of a bloodied Olsen that you can see after the jump.

James Wan's upcoming account of real life paranormal investigating couple, Ed and Lorraine Warren, is casting up.

Most folks know that the first PARANORMAL ACTIVITY was made under unconventional conditions by Oren Peli, shot for $15,000 in the filmmaker’s home, with the actors encouraged to improvise. Although the budgets on the Paramount-produced PARANORMAL sequels (including the third movie, just out on Blu-ray/DVD from Paramount Home Video) have risen into the several-million-dollar range, the filmmaking has become even more freewheeling in some ways. Witness the experience of actress Bonita Friedericy.
